About Century

Century Industrial Coatings, Inc. can trace its origin back to 1966. During that year Century’s predecessor company Shur-Kote Paint Mfg. Co. was founded by Don and O’Marie Harvey. In this new venture, Don brought with him many years of paint manufacturing and sales experience.

Shur-Kote successfully served the Texas area, providing quality coatings for the wood and metal markets. Because of Shur-Kote’s success, it was acquired in 1985 by Akzo/Reliance where Don continued to work in sales. As integral parts of Shur-Kote’s success Don’s sons, Dean and Dusty also made the transition to Akzo/Reliance.

In 1991, seeing an opportunity to serve the coating needs of various local industries and markets, the Harvey’s established Century Industrial Coatings, Inc.

The new venture began to quickly prosper and has enjoyed strong and steady growth over the last 18 years. Since 1991, Century has expanded from serving local markets to now reaching customers nationwide, providing coatings to some of the largest companies in their markets.

Century owes its success to loyal customers and its own committed employees. Furthermore, Century understands that it is the strength of these relationships, both customer and employee, which will provide the foundation for all future growth and success.

Century Industrial Coatings continues to enjoy a strong financial and technical position and anticipates solid growth far into the future.
